We know that starting physiotherapy or joining a new Pilates class can come with a few questions. Below, you’ll find answers to some of the most common things our clients ask before their first appointment or class.

Q: Do I need a referral from a doctor to book an appointment?

No, you do not need a GP referral to see our physiotherapists or join our Pilates classes. We operate as primary healthcare practitioners. However, if you have an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan from your doctor or copies of relevant diagnostic imaging (such as X-rays or MRI scans), please bring them along to your initial appointment.

Q: Do I need a physio assessment before joining a Pilates class?

A formal physiotherapy assessment is not mandatory for healthy individuals joining our group Pilates classes. However, if you are completely new to Pilates, recovering from an injury, or unsure whether group classes are suitable for you, we strongly recommend booking a 1:1 Private Pilates Session first. This session allows us to assess your movement patterns, introduce you to the reformer bed, and show you how to use the equipment safely and confidently before joining a group class.

Please note:
If you wish to claim Pilates sessions through your private health fund, most health funds require a 1:1 assessment before you can claim for ongoing classes.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

As a small business providing dedicated 1:1 care and very small group classes with only 6 reformer beds, short-notice cancellations can significantly impact our studio and other clients.

For Physiotherapy appointments and 1:1 Private lessons, we ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice when cancelling or rescheduling. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a $100 fee.

For Pilates group classes, we ask that you provide at least 12 hours’ notice when cancelling or rescheduling. Cancellations made with less than 12 hours’ notice will incur a $45 charge.

Q: How long do Physiotherapy sessions and Pilates classes last?

  • Physiotherapy Initial Consultations: 45 minutes.
  • Physiotherapy Follow-Up Sessions: Available in 30, 45, or 60-minute durations depending on your customized management plan.
  • Reformer Pilates Group Classes: 45 minutes long, including a structured warm-up and cool-down.
  • Shockwave Therapy & Dry Needling Sessions: 15 minutes long.

Q: Do you offer private health rebates and what funds do you accept?

Yes, we accept all major private health funds. Our clinic is equipped with a HICAPS terminal, allowing you to claim your private health rebate on-the-spot at the time of your appointment. The exact rebate amount depends entirely on your specific fund and level of extras cover.

Q: What should I bring to my appointment or Pilates class?

For Pilates classes, please bring a towel and a water bottle. We provide Pilates mats, but you are welcome to bring your own if preferred. Please note: grip socks are mandatory for Pilates classes

Q: Do you accept WorkCover or CTP claims?
